Back to Witches and Wizards, and Magical Beasts

POTTERMORE

I am eleven years old, and when checking the mail one day, notice a letter addressed to me. It is a funny kind of letter. Its envelope is some type of parchment - no longer found in days of pads of Reflex paper. I turn it over, and find that on the back, there is an old fashioned seal. Upon opening it, I found out that I had been accepted at Hogwarts. Months later, wrapped in my warm black robes, I sat in my boat as it glided across the lake towards the castle in front of me. Awaiting me was an enormous feast, and a ragged old hat on a stool, waiting to sort me into my house.

Well, that isn't exactly how it happened, of course...

But I was almost as excited when I found out I had been accepted for early entry to Pottermore.

I was in Year 3 when I read the first Harry Potter book. I read it slightly before the craze gathered momentum and fans, having been introduced to the magic by an older friend of mine. It was my dream to go to Hogwarts, and I fantasized about it for pretty much my entire childhood, and all of my adulthood too.

Last night, I logged on for the first time. I have to admit, it isn't completely amazing yet, because it is still a BETA version. But I love it. I studied harder for the sorting test than for any other test in my life. I actually nearly starting crying when I was sorted into Ravenclaw, as it was where I have always known that I belonged.

So my dream of going to Hogwarts has come true, in its own, sit in front of the computer all day, slighty nerdy, naff kind of way. My username is AsphodelCharm164. I am in Ravenclaw. I have a pet owl. My wand is Hornbeam and Unicorn hair, Ten and a Quarter inches, Slightly Springy. And going to Hogwarts is something I no longer have to just dream about.

I AM SO JEALOUS! I found the quill on day 2 but still no email for me! I shall wait patiently, perhaps they sent Errol.

Hi, by the way, I am enjoying your posts :)
